This has completely revolutionized the safety standards of products sold on major marketplaces such as eBay.

Concept
For this, once we understood the requirement –make the process of certification as uncomplicated as possible for the seller- we proceeded towards designing the information architecture. The focus was clear from the get go- optimising the flow and maintaining absolute clarity of information at each step so that the user could breeze through the process. This was a solution that benefited all parties involved, from the e-commerce marketplaces to the sellers themselves, not to mention the end consumers, and the best way to ensure large scale adoption was to make the user experience as seamless as possible.
Once done with the information architecture we had to find the right visual elements. We kept the illustrations simple and to the point. We kept the colours soft and easy on the eye. Note that we were doing two version of the UI. There was the standard one and another we did specifically to integrate with eBay. For the latter we had to make sure it evoked the look and feel of eBay without necessarily using the same colours. The illustrations too had to be modified in some places to that end. What we kept intact between both the versions were the spacious easily readable elements that, along with the overall information flow, were simple but effective.
